


Meet the founders
The story of Safar by Karimi is one of passion, dedication, and hard work. Born and raised in India, the Saiyed brothers embarked on a journey to the United States with a dream of starting their own business. Despite facing numerous challenges as immigrants, they remained committed to their dream.
Working regular jobs, the brothers started a family hand-made samosa business and a home catering venture. The taste of their food quickly spread through the community, and they soon found themselves in high demand.

Chef Amit Puri
Chef Amit Puri blends heritage, comfort, and contemporary craft in his cooking. Raised in Mumbai and shaped by classical training and global kitchen experience, his approach centers on familiar flavors presented with modern finesse.
An entrepreneur and author known for redefining comfort food, Chef Amit brings balance to every plate — honoring tradition while embracing thoughtful innovation. At Safar, his menu reflects warmth, precision, and refined Indian culinary roots.


CHEF Prabjyot Kaur
Chef Prabjyot Kaur is a Mumbai-based culinary professional and food stylist who works closely with renowned chef, F&B consultant, and cookbook author Amit Puri. Known for her keen attention to detail and modern hospitality approach, she plays a key role in creating thoughtful and memorable dining experiences.
As Executive Chef, she leads menu development and concept creation for restaurants, cafés, breweries, bistros, and cloud kitchens, firmly believing that a strong concept is the foundation of every successful brand. Her role spans everything from kitchen design and team training to curating menus that reflect each brand’s identity.
With a degree in Hospitality Management and over 14 years of experience, Chef Prabjyot began her journey at Pan India Food Solutions Pvt. Ltd. under Chef Amit Puri. Deeply rooted in Indian culinary traditions yet inspired by modern techniques, she finds joy in reimagining classic flavors to create fresh, contemporary dining experiences.
For Chef Prabjyot, the kitchen is where tradition meets innovation — and every dish becomes a story worth sharing.
CHEF Sumanta
Sumanta brings a thoughtful, detail-driven approach to the kitchen, focusing on consistency, craft, and balance in every dish. With a deep respect for ingredients and technique, his work reflects a quiet dedication to quality and execution.
At Safar, Sumanta plays a key role in shaping the dining experience, ensuring each plate meets the standards of flavor, precision, and warmth that define the restaurant’s philosophy.


Sous chef Siddharaj pant
Sous chef Siddaraj brings over a decade of culinary experience from some of India’s leading hospitality environments, including premium restaurants, upscale clubs, and boutique dining spaces. His journey has shaped him into a disciplined, detail-driven professional with deep expertise in Indian kitchen operations, large-scale production, and refined presentation.
At Safar by Karimi, he plays a key role in upholding culinary standards, guiding kitchen teams, and ensuring every dish reflects the brand’s commitment to authenticity and excellence. Known for his calm leadership and precision in execution, Chef Siddaraj blends traditional techniques with modern culinary discipline to deliver a consistently elevated dining experience.
